Paul Downs started as a custom furniture maker in 1986. His company, Paul Downs Cabinetmakers, employs 22 workers and posted $3.9 million in sales in 2018. Paul has garnered a wide variety of skills in the 33 years of running his business, with clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, the military and foreign governments. Paul wrote for the New York Times online blog “You’re The Boss,” and he is the author of Boss Life: Surviving My Own Small Business, published by Blue Rider Press in 2015.
