John is a 16-year veteran teacher in Career Technical Education. As a rookie teacher, he had the desire to link his classroom with local industry. He believes that the modern education system is failing a good number of students. CTE classrooms are uniquely positioned to shape and mold young people with the skills they need to be successful no matter what path in life they choose. A good number of former students work in the skilled trades- a trend Mr. Stearns is hoping to continue long into the future.
