Tim Killen is retired from the engineering and construction industry and devotes his full attention to his life-long interest of woodworking. His emphasis is reproducing 18th century museum pieces. In this pursuit, he utilizes a spectrum of old and new technologies which range from hand-tool operations to modern designing in 3D computer modeling. Tim teaches SketchUp, Furniture Reproduction and Finishes in the Bay Area of California. He has written articles for Woodwork and Fine Woodworking magazines and is the author of the Taunton Press e-book, Google SketchUp Guide for Woodworkers. He is also a contributing author to Fine Woodworking’s “Design. Click. Build” blog.
