GREEN DESK
Got “green” questions? The Green Desk is a free feature offered by AWFS. Attendees can stop by the desk anytime throughout the days of the show to ask about their concerns related to environmental practices and products, green building and product certifications, as well as federal and state regulations affecting the industry. The Green Desk is hosted by experts from a multitude of sustainability-driven organizations so take advantage of the wealth of expertise and information that will be available. The smartSHOP
The smartSHOP is a fully operational cabinet shop on the exhibit floor that will showcase “Simplicity in Automation for the Small Shop.” If you’ve ever been intimidated by the vast field of woodworking machinery visible on a trade show floor, the smartSHOP brings automation down to scale for the modest size shops. This is a great opportunity for you to see how it takes less time to do more, and do it with ease and sophistication.
It will be hosted by industry expert, Gero Sassenberg and other professionals who will be on hand to answer questions as a fully automated shop demonstrates the machinery and processes of cabinet construction from data input software to cabinet assembly. The experts will interact with attendees while demonstrating the automation process—from start to finish. The smartSHOP will produce product for a local charity, and free, “mini-start demos” will be sprinkled throughout the day for attendees dropping by.
WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM NETWORKING EVENT
Cabinet Makers Association presents, the “What’s Your Problem?” event. An informal networking and problem-solving get-together with peers. Thursday, July 21, Room N115. A no-host bar opens the event at 3:00 p.m. with program to follow from 3:30 -5:00 p.m. Open to all AWFS Fair attendees but registration is required. Click here to register.
