Curved Joinery, Edges and Inlays

In this session, Scott will show you how to add an incredible range of exciting curved edges, joinery and inlays to your furniture. He will reveal a simple system using a set of large offset template guides on a router, which when used properly, accurately mate a hardwood seam to any curve.

 

Cold Metal Casting and Reproduction for Furniture Embellishment

Thursday, July 20, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Scott will also deliver a presentation dedicated to mold making, reproduction and cold metal bronze-casting to create or reproduce just about any form and texture, whether a found object such as a pine cone, a finely carved picture frame or a hand-sculpted door pull.

Mitch starts with the basics that build to performing advanced repairs. Methods of filling the damaged area, color theory, coating repair, and sheen control will be discussed. You will learn the options in tools and materials available for repairing damaged wood/coatings.
