The Fresh Wood student woodworking competition will once again be featured at the AWFS Fair, showcasing the top finalist projects. The competition is open to high school and post secondary students in North American woodworking and related programs. Entry categories include Seating, Tables, Case Goods, Open, Design for Production and Special Theme: Musical Instruments.
New in 2015, the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) will host Turning to the Future, a wood turning competition for high school and post secondary students. Projects must be smaller than 20” in diameter and at least partially turned on a lathe.
For both contests, the deadline for entry is May 1, 2015 and there is no fee for entry.
